Hawaii among highest-paying states for loan officers, construction workers

Loan officers in Hawaii made approximately $35.53 an hour in 2007. Loan officers made the most in Alaska, at $41.77 an hour, followed by Massachusetts, $38.78; California, $36.58; and Rhode Island, $36.01. There were 910 loan officers in Hawaii in 2007. Hawaii's construction workers made $21.28 an hour in 2007. Those workers in Alaska and New York made $21.48 and $21.28, respectively. There were 5,620 construction laborers in the state last year.
