Hawaii's hotel occupancy dropped only slightly in May despite fewer visitors and air seats and a weak U.S. economy.

According to the article, May hotel occupancy slipped 0.8 of a percentage point to 68.3 percent, compared to May 2007, while the average daily room rate increased 2 percent to $190.66. Revenue per available room edged up to $130.16.
