Hawaii hotel occupancy slips to 72%

Hawaii hotel occupancy was at 72.3 percent for the week ending Aug. 2, down 5.6 percentage points from the same time last year. Room rates also fell statewide, down 2.3 percentage points to $226.78 a night, as compared with the same week last year.

According to the artcile, nationwide, hotel occupancy fell 2.4 percentage points to 71.2 percent, while room rates grew 3.1 percent to $107.
